Awards may change. Notify the financial aid office if you expect to receive any awards (such as scholarships, assistantships, etc.) that are not listed as awarded on GoldLink. Federal regulations require we prevent "over awarding" a student's financial aid need and/or cost. If you have already received a Direct Deposit of Balance of Aid and you are found to be in an over award, you may owe the University a repayment.
Students are generally awarded based on full-time enrollment. Awards (such as Pell, Lottery, TSAA, etc.) may be pro-rated or adjusted based on the number of hours of enrollment and attendance. Students must be enrolled in 6 credit hours per semester to qualify for federal loans. For financial aid purposes, full-time enrollment is defined as 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and 9 credit hours for graduate students.
Some awards, such as ETSU scholarships, the Tennessee Grant, and the Lottery Scholarship, may not show up as part of your original award package. If you have been notified that you will be eligible for other such awards, please continue to watch GoldLink and Goldmail for notification of changes in your financial aid awards. Historically, Tennessee Grant and Lottery Scholarship awards are not made until closer to July 1st. *NOTE: In order to receive the Tennessee Grant or Lottery Scholarship at ETSU you must have ETSU's school code (003487) listed FIRST on your FAFSA.2011-2012 Perkins Promissory Notes will not be available until July 15, 2011. After this date, students will be able to satisfy the "Perkins Prom Note" requirement by e-signing at ECSI. Some awards are time sensitive and may be cancelled after 30 days of inactivity.
